“The tranquillity and stunning location of Inchlumpie alleviate the stresses and strains of modern day living.
A perfect retreat, the house whilst 21st Century luxury is warm and cosy but still retains the character of rural Scotland.”
Mrs YC, Sussex
“Inchlumpie is idyllic: lovely house with stunning views in every direction.
Such a peaceful and uplifting place to walk and enjoy the wildlife or sit and read in the forest. Strathpeffer was interesting to see; particularly the Victorian Station and the haggis from Dingwall was amazing: well worth trying. Thrilled to have seen a pine marten crossing in front of us just up the road and a golden eagle over the valley.
There is so much to be enjoyed here, either on foot or further afield by car…or simply by looking out of the windows.”
Mrs JVB, Sussex
“Thank you for a lovely stay in your beautiful house.
Very well equipped and comfortable, and we have enjoyed the views and the remote location very much.
The children enjoyed the games, especially the Carom (our 11 year old has become quite an expert at it).
Outside of the house we enjoyed the local walks to the Fyrish Monument and Black Gorge; The children enjoyed the
beach at Dornoch best and paddling in the river enroute. It is definitely a place we would love to return to.”
The S Family, Norfolk
“The house, the garden the surroundings, the villages- everything a delight.
We've never encountered such perfect accommodation in Scotland and our stay has been all too short.
The wildlife is amazing and the walks from the house most beautiful. The tumbling river is out of a picture book.
I think the house and location are a gem together –a real find.”
Mr and Mrs MacT, Glasgow
“Very comfortable and well equipped accommodation.
Saw 2 pairs of red kites almost daily plus buzzards and numerous smaller birds eating the nuts etc.
Also saw golden eagle and several deer when we visited Loch Ness. Sadly no dolphins spotted at Fortrose but
we did see Oyster Catchers. No snow seen although sleet on our last day. Enjoyed walking by the river.
Will come back soon.”
The McB Family, Derbyshire
“My visit to the Highlands and Lower Inchlumpie has exceeded all my hopes and expectations. The landscape all
around is breathtaking, mountains, forests, firths and rivers, and not forgetting the clear air, sounds of nature and
the sky by day and night. I've loved the seeming remoteness of the house
and the ever changing river rushing by, and
seeing the area as home to so much supposedly timid and rare species. The house is spacious and spotlessly clean
with every amenity for guests to feel welcome and comfortable and completely at home. I hope to come back soon.”
