Bird watching - the surrounding countryside is home to all types of birds including woodland and seashore birds and many different birds of prey

Climbing - enthusiasts can enjoy the challenge of several Munro Mountains in the area

Cycling - along the many forest roads and tracks in the surrounding hills, glens and forests

Fishing - available locally. The area is renowned for salmon, trout and sea trout. Day and weekly tickets are available

Golf - many courses abound in the area. They include the Royal Dornoch, claimed to be the twentieth best in the world, as well as golf courses in Alness, Beauly, Bonar Bridge, Muir of Ord, Invergordon, Inverness, Nairn, Portmahomack, Strathpeffer and Tain

Shooting & Stalking - available on the nearby Estate just the other side of the river

Painting & Photography - the wonderful scenery and light conditions will inspire all artists and photographers

Walking  - opportunities abound for local walks from Lower Inchlumpie through the surrounding Forestry Commission land and along the glen

Wildlife observation - the unspoilt countryside has deer, weasels and bats as well as an abundance of wild flowers. Pine martens and otters are also local residents and can be seen from time to time
